2. Visa Fee Payment / Proof of Payment

• Receipt or confirmation of visa fee payment (where applicable)

3. Passport

• Valid for at least 6 months beyond your planned departure from Ireland
• Photocopy of biometric/identity page
• Copies of previous passports (if available)

4. Passport Photographs

• Your name and visa application transaction number are written on the back
• Two recent colour passport-size photos.

5. Proof of Finances

• Evidence that you can financially support yourself during your stay and return
• Bank statements (last 6 months) showing name, address, and account type
• If a savings account is used: bank letter confirming access to funds
• If sponsored: sponsor’s bank statements, payslips, tax returns, or employment letter.

6. Accommodation / Travel Plan

• Confirmed hotel booking OR address of stay if visiting friends/family
• Must show the exact dates of accommodation.

7. Application Letter: Personal letter explaining:

• Purpose of visit to Ireland
• Proposed arrival and departure dates
• Where you will stay
• Who will cover expenses
• If visiting friends/family: their names, address, and how you are connected

8. Invitation Letter (if visiting friends/family): Must include:

• Full name and address of inviter
• Relationship to applicant
• Dates of visit
• Confirmation that visa conditions will be respected (departure before visa expiry, no reliance on public funds)
• Copy of inviter’s passport/ID/residence permit (if not EU/EEA/Swiss citizen)

9. Evidence of Return / Strong Ties to Home Country

• Proof that you will return after your visit, such as:
• Employment letter and recent payslips (if employed)
• School/college letter confirming enrolment and return (if student)
• Proof of family dependents, property ownership, or other commitments in your home country.
